Davin Furtado

Davin Furtado - Winnipeg, MB

I have been dancing for the past 5 years and currently train in jazz, ballet, lyrical, and hip hop. For the past 4 years I’ve assisted and taught at The Dance Centre here in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I teach up to 6 hip hop classes week. Teaching is very rewarding as I can share my passion for dance with the students. I have taught hip hop workshops across Winnipeg and performed for Fresh I.E at the 2004 friendship festival. This past year I was honored to perform for an up coming artist Sketch Williams during an interview and kick off his new album at his Cd release party. I recently studied dance in Los Angeles at the world-renowned Edge performing arts, it was an experience of a life time. So far this year I was awarded Elite Gold in the 2007 Canadian National Dance Competition and 1st place in a solo performance choreographed by myself. I love the challenge and athleticism of dance and can’t see myself doing anything else.

Brittany Matlock

Brittany Matlock - Detroit, MI

Brittany has danced at Edmunds Towers School of Dance since the age of two. Since then she has grown to love and develop a passion for the art. She then began dancing on a competitive dance team, which allowed her to learn many different styles of dance including: ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, salsa, contemporary and more. Through her years as a dancer she has won numerous scholarships which has allowed her to dance at the Edge Performing Arts Center, The Performing Arts Center and Millennium Dance Center all in Los Angeles. Brittany proudly teaches lyrical and hip-hop classes at her studio and has assisted for four years. Besides dance she has been lucky enough to also do some local modeling as well. But as she continues dancing she can only hope to one day purse her dream of becoming a professional dancer.
